The Western Wishes National Office, in conjunction with Western Harvest Ministries and Chris Cox Horsemanship, are teaming together to strengthen the vision of helping to "rein kids in the right direction". The Champion in You Ranch Program will premiere on February 1-3, 2012. Chris Cox and his great crew are providing a wonderful backdrop for this event at the Chris Cox Diamond Double C Ranch in Mineral Wells, Texas. The intertwined efforts of Western Wishes, Western Harvest Ministries and Chris Cox Horsemanship will inspire young lives by providing a platform from which rodeo legends and sports heroes can interact with program attendees. This one-on-one atmosphere with legendary rodeo names like Tuff Hedeman, JW Harris, Kelly Timberman, Larry Mahan, Trevor Brazile, Angie Meadors, and Lindsay Sears will surely have a life-changing effect, motivating these special kids; thus reinforcing that they too, are champions.
Former Western Wishes recipients, who have become ambassadors of hope to others, will serve as mentors to kids attending The Champion In You Ranch Program. In addition, lectures from notables in the western industry will provide an unforgettable experience. It is the hope of Western Wishes not only to make this an annual event, but to also expand this program throughout the nation. We predict that this will be one of the most influential, long-term projects of Western Wishes.
The faith-based ranch program, The Champion in You, will equip youth with practical and inspiring materials; focusing on the mission of sending them out to influence and inspire others.
